Cha Ghar

Our place, Cha Ghar, is tucked away in Ward No.-6, Kamar Para. We are on Dr. Charu Chandra Sanyal Sarani Road, which is right near the Vishal Mega Mart. It’s a busy area, so there is always something going on outside our door. The shop isn't much to look at from the outside, just a simple storefront with a wooden counter. Inside, we keep various grades of tea in large bins. People come in with their own containers sometimes, and we fill them up. It saves on bags and cost. We’ve been operating here for several years now. It’s just a local business. We don't have a big corporate office or anything like that. We do our own bookkeeping in a big ledger. The humidity can be a bit of a problem during the monsoon season, so we have to be very careful about how we store the tea so it stays fresh. We spend a lot of time talking to the suppliers to make sure we are getting what our customers ask for. It’s a lot of back and forth. We don't really have a set routine other than opening and closing times. Every day is a bit different depending on who walks in. We just try to be helpful and keep the shelves stocked with the basics that people need for their homes.
