Bridge & Roof has been around this part of Kolkata for a long time. Our office is right there on Beliaghata Main Road, number 3/1/67. It's a busy spot but we like it here. People often ask what we actually do. Mostly, we handle the heavy stuff, the kind of structural work that involves a lot of steel and planning. It isn't always pretty work, but it gets done. The yard gets dusty and there’s always something going on with the guys coming in and out. We've seen the neighborhood change over the years. We aren't a flashy new startup with a glass office. It's just an old-school setup where we focus on the task at hand. Sometimes the phones don't stop ringing and other days we're all out on site. Being in 700 085 means we're close to a lot of our projects. We don't spend much time on fancy brochures or things like that. If you come by, you'll see we just keep things moving. There's a lot of history in these walls, maybe too much sometimes. It's just a regular workplace with regular people trying to make things stand up straight. We've got a team that knows the city well. We just show up every morning, drink some tea, and get to work on whatever project is currently on the desk. That’s pretty much us.
