Out here in Durgapur, we are located at 8/11 Rabindrapalli in the Dhandabag area. It’s very much an industrial town vibe, which makes sense for the kind of work we do. The office is situated in a spot that’s easy to find if you know the Amrai post office. It’s a straightforward building, nothing fancy about it at all. We spend our days managing the flow of industrial supplies and keeping track of all the paperwork that comes with it. Durgapur can get incredibly hot in the summer, and the office can feel a bit stuffy, but we just get on with it. There’s a lot of heavy lifting and moving things around the site, so everyone here is used to getting their hands dirty. We aren’t a corporate headquarters; we’re more of a local outpost that makes sure things are running smoothly for the industries in this district. Most of the staff live nearby, so we know the local gossip and where the best places to eat are during our breaks. The yard is usually full of equipment, and there’s always a truck or two waiting at the gate. It’s a practical, hardworking environment where we don’t spend much time on appearances. We just focus on the schedule and making sure we meet the daily requirements. It’s the kind of place where you know everyone by name and the work never really stops. We often stay a little later on Fridays to get ready for the next week’s load.
