We’ve been at 11, Government Place East for quite a while now. You have to head up to the second floor to find us. The building is one of those old ones that has a lot of character, though the stairs can be a bit much if you’re carrying things. It’s mostly just us here handling the day-to-day tea stuff. There’s always some paperwork piled up on the desks and the smell of tea leaves hanging in the air, which isn’t a bad thing at all. We spend a lot of time talking to the gardens and trying to keep track of shipments coming in. It gets pretty humid in this part of town during the summer months, but we just keep the fans going and get on with it. It’s not a fancy setup with glass walls or anything like that. We have some old wooden desks and cupboards that have seen better days. People come in and out, mostly delivery guys or folks we’ve known for years. Sometimes the phones won't stop ringing and other times it’s quiet enough to actually hear the traffic outside on the street. We don’t really do much besides focus on the tea. It’s what we know and what we’ve always done from this office. If you’re looking for a shiny corporate lobby, you won’t find it here at the Government Place address. We just do our work and go home.
