Bijay Store

Bijay Store is a small shop located on D B Road in the Ushumpur area of Kolkata. We are near Battala in Agarpara. Kolkata - 700109 is our pin code. The shop has been around for a long time, and we've seen the streets change quite a bit as the years pass. D B Road is always busy with people going to and from work at all hours. We sell various household goods and groceries. It’s a very simple setup with no modern frills. We don't have a computer for billing, we just use a pen and paper like we always have. The space is a bit tight because we try to fit as much as possible on the shelves to help our customers. People from Ushumpur and Battala come to us for their daily needs. We don't spend any money on advertising because word of mouth works best in this part of town. If you provide what people need, they will come back eventually. I’ve lived in Agarpara all my life so I know what the locals like to buy. We open early in the morning because that’s when the market is most active and people are out. It’s a lot of standing around and waiting for customers sometimes, but we don't mind the wait. We get to talk to everyone who walks through the door. We are just a local store trying to do our part.
