Berlia Fresh Foods & Beverages Private Limited is located over at Shop No.7 on Ganesh Chandra Avenue. It’s a crowded area, especially since we’re so close to Commerce House. There’s always people walking past, looking for a quick bite or something to drink. The shop itself is a bit small, but we manage to fit everything we need inside. We spend a lot of time moving crates around and making sure the stock is where it should be. It gets pretty loud during the lunch hour when the office workers come out. We’ve been at this location for a bit and we’ve seen shops come and go, but we’re still here doing our thing. It’s not a very glamorous job, mostly just checking dates and talking to suppliers on the phone. Sometimes the delivery trucks block the road and everything gets a bit messy. The floor needs a good sweep every few hours because of all the foot traffic. We aren't trying to be anything we’re not, just a place that handles food and drinks for the local crowd. The air conditioning works most of the time, which is a relief when the summer heat hits Calcutta. We just keep our heads down and do the work that needs doing. It’s a tight-knit team here, even if we get on each other's nerves when it’s too busy. That’s just part of working in a small space like this one.
