Bela Store

Bela Store is right in the middle of things at 50 Canning Street, over in Poddar Court in the Tiretti area. If you know this part of the city, you know how crowded and busy it gets. There are people everywhere and cars constantly honking. We’ve been in this building for a long time. Our shop is small and filled with all sorts of things. Sometimes it’s hard to find what you’re looking for, but we usually know where everything is tucked away. We don't do any big promotions or sales events. People just know we are here and they come in when they need something. We don't have a fancy display or bright lights. It’s just a regular store for regular people. We spend our days chatting with the regulars and helping out the new folks who wander in. Some days it’s so busy we barely have time to eat lunch, and other days it’s quiet and we just sit by the door. We don't use any corporate language or try to act like we’re part of a big chain. It’s just a family-run kind of place. We’ve seen the neighborhood change quite a bit, but Canning Street always stays lively. We like being part of the history of this area.
