Bech Of Technology

Our place is at 10/1/1P Atal Sur Road in Kolkata. If you know the 700015 area, you know it is quite crowded and the streets are narrow. We are in a building that has seen better days, but it works for what we do with technology. Inside, there are a lot of wires and computer parts scattered on the workbenches. It is not very tidy, but we know where everything is when we need it. Some of us have been working together for years, so we just have a rhythm going. We get a lot of people coming in from the neighborhood asking if we can fix a screen or look at a slow laptop. We aren't a big retail store with glass windows; it's more of a workshop where we spend the day coding or repairing things. The tea stall around the corner is where we spend most of our breaks, just watching the traffic go by on Atal Sur Road. It’s a lot of sitting and looking at monitors, which can be tiring on the eyes, but it's what we know how to do. Sometimes the rain gets really heavy and we have to make sure the windows are shut tight so the equipment doesn't get damp. It’s just a normal day-to-day life here in the city, trying to keep up with the tech stuff while staying in our little corner.
