Barista Coffee Company

You can find our Barista Coffee Company outlet at Plot No-236 inside South City Mall. Being in a mall is a lot different than having a shop on the street. Everything is controlled, from the temperature to the lights. It’s busy almost all the time, but the weekends are a different level of crazy. We see hundreds of people walking past our counter every hour. Most of them are just looking for a place to sit down for a minute after shopping. We don't have a lot of space for ourselves behind the counter, so we have to stay organized. We spend our shifts making drinks, cleaning up spills, and trying to keep the line moving. The music from the mall can get a bit loud, so sometimes we have to shout a little to be heard. We don't really have a big story about why we're here. The company just picked this spot because the mall gets a lot of traffic. We just show up, put on the aprons, and start the machines. It’s honest work, even if it’s inside a big building with no windows to the outside. Sometimes the mall security guards come by for a drink, and we get to know them a bit. It’s a strange little community inside the mall. We just try to make the coffee right and keep things tidy for the next person who comes along. It's constant work but the air conditioning is nice during the summer months.
