Our business, Bardhan Beverages Pvt. Ltd., is located on Station Road. It is a very active area and there is never a dull moment outside our front door. Dealing with beverages means we are always surrounded by crates and bottles of all sizes. The building itself is quite plain and we have not done much to decorate it over the years. We prefer to focus on the inventory and making sure the deliveries are ready on time. Inside, the floors are often a bit cool and damp, and there is a steady hum from the refrigeration units. We do not have a fancy boardroom or expensive furniture. Our meetings usually happen standing up in the middle of the warehouse or around a small table in the corner. The heat on Station Road can be pretty intense during the summer months, so we are always moving quickly to keep things in the shade. It is a physical job that requires a lot of heavy lifting and moving things around. We are not the type of company that puts out glossy brochures. People around here know us because they see our trucks and they see us working every day. We have a routine that has worked for a long time and we stick to it. Sometimes we share a drink together at the end of a long shift. It is just a normal way to earn a living in a busy part of the city.
