Our office is up on the fifth floor, Room 31, at 8 Ganesh Chandra Avenue. It’s a bit of a climb if the lift isn't working, but we’re used to it. We focus on tea, specifically the kind of chai people drink every day. Ganesh Chandra Avenue is always bustling, and we’re right in the middle of it. We spend our time sourcing leaves and figuring out the best ways to get our tea out to the stalls and shops. It’s a lot of tasting and checking the quality of the various batches that come in. We aren't some big corporate tea brand. We’re just a small group of people who really know our chai. The office is usually full of samples and half-empty cups. We don’t have much in the way of fancy furniture; it's mostly just desks and boxes of tea. Some days we spend hours just talking to suppliers and making sure the deliveries are on track. Chai is a big part of life here, and we just want to be a small part of that. We don't go for flashy ads. We just stick to what we know and try to keep things running smoothly from our little room on the fifth floor. It’s a steady job, and it keeps us busy from morning till evening. Sometimes the dust from the street gets in, but we just wipe the desks and keep going with our work.
