Bajaj Eye Hospital

Bajaj Eye Hospital is located up on the 3rd floor at 1/1 Vansittart Row in the BBD Bag area. We are part of the Hiralal Madanlal Bajaj Charity Trust, which has been around for quite a bit. Being in BBD Bag means we are right in the heart of things, surrounded by old buildings and lots of history. Our hospital isn't on the ground floor, so you have to head up to find us. It’s mostly dedicated to eyes, so you’ll see a lot of people coming in for glasses or checkups on their vision. The space is functional and designed to fit all the eye testing equipment we need. It’s not a fancy modern office with glass walls, it feels more like a traditional Kolkata establishment. We get a steady stream of people every day, some from the local offices and some who travel from further away. The hallways can be a bit narrow, and it gets busy around midday. We just try to keep things moving as smoothly as possible. There’s no big corporate mission statement here, just a bunch of people working to help others see better. It’s a bit of an older building, which gives it some character, I suppose. We spend our days looking at eyes and talking to patients. It’s simple, honest work in a very busy part of the city. We’ve been here at Vansittart Row for a long time.
