Baidya Plastic Mahal

My father actually started Baidya Plastic Mahal a long time ago, right here on Palmer Bazar Road. If you know this part of Tangra, near Seal Lane, you know it gets pretty crowded with all the rickshaws and people moving about. We have been in this same spot for years, and the building hasn't changed much except for a bit of paint every now and then. Inside, it is usually packed floor to ceiling with all sorts of plastic things. We have got those big water drums, colorful buckets for the bathroom, and heaps of small containers that people use in their kitchens. It is not a fancy place at all. Most days, I am just sitting behind the counter or helping someone find a specific size of lid that they lost. The street outside is noisy, and sometimes the dust comes in, so we are always wiping things down. We don't really do big advertisements or anything like that. People around here just know us. They walk in when they need something sturdy for their house. I try to keep everything organized, but with so many different shapes of plastic, it gets a bit messy by the afternoon. It is just a regular local shop where we know most of the faces that walk through the door. We stay open until late evening because that is when most people are heading home from work and realize they need a new bin or a mug.
