Techno Aid

We’re based at No. 21 Thakurpara Lane, specifically around the Helabattala area. It’s one of those narrow lanes where you have to be careful if two bikes are trying to pass each other. Our space is tucked in there, and it’s been our base for quite some time. The name on the door says Techno Aid, and that’s pretty much what we do—helping out with whatever technical issues people bring to us. Inside, it’s a bit of a maze of wires and old monitors that we keep for spare parts. We don't have a cleaning crew or anything, so we just tidy up ourselves on Saturday afternoons. The lighting isn't the best, but we have some desk lamps for the detailed work. It’s usually just two or three of us in the office at any given time. We spend a lot of time on the phone, explaining things to people or ordering parts that are hard to find. The neighborhood is fairly busy, so there’s always the sound of people talking or dogs barking outside the window. We’ve got a small cupboard where we keep the biscuits and tea leaves for our breaks. It’s a humble setup, but it’s ours. We don't go in for big meetings or long presentations. We just look at what needs fixing and try our best to get it done before the day is out and we lock up.
