You can find Avant Food & Beverages Private Limited on the second floor of the Hindusthan Buildings. It is located at 4 Chittaranjan Avenue, which is a very old and famous part of town. The building itself has a lot of history, but our office is pretty modern and simple inside. Working on CR Avenue means dealing with constant traffic and the sound of tram bells outside. It is a very busy place to be. We have been here for a while, handling different aspects of the food and beverage industry. It is mostly administrative work and coordinating with our partners. The ceilings are high like in many old Kolkata buildings, but we have just got standard desks and chairs. We are not a massive corporation with hundreds of employees. It is a small, dedicated group of us. We spend our days looking at spreadsheets and talking to vendors. Sometimes the old elevators in the building take a long time, so we have to be patient. We do not have a big mission statement or anything fancy like that. We just focus on getting the orders right and making sure the business keeps running smoothly. It is a lot of phone calls and emails every single day. We like being in this part of the city because everything is close by. It is a bit chaotic and loud with all the buses, but it is our daily reality and we are used to it.
