Ashrafia Tea Centre

Ashrafia Tea Centre is tucked away where 3 Pemantle Street meets 45 Royd Street. It’s a bit of a dual spot, so we see people coming from both directions. This part of the city has its own rhythm, and we’ve been part of it for years. We don't have a big marketing team or anything like that. It’s just a family-run kind of place where we focus on selling tea. The streets are narrow and usually filled with people and bikes. We keep our shop stocked with various grades of tea because everyone has their own preference. Some like it strong, some like it light. We just listen to what they want. It’s a simple setup inside. We have big containers of tea and some scales to weigh everything out. You won't find any flashy lights here. We prefer the old-fashioned way of doing things. It feels right to be on Royd Street. We know the neighbors and the other shopkeepers around here. When someone walks in, we usually know what they’re looking for before they even ask. It’s a quiet kind of satisfaction, running a tea shop in this neighborhood. We stay open pretty late to make sure everyone gets their tea for the next morning. Ashrafia Tea Centre isn't trying to be anything other than what it is: a local tea shop for local people. It is just our way of life and how we provide for our families.
