If you head down to Canning Street, you will find us at number 54/1 on the first floor. It is a very crowded area, typical for this part of the city. You have to walk up the stairs, and it can be a bit dark in the hallway, but once you get inside, it’s all lenses and frames. We have been working here for quite some time now. The workspace is filled with machines for cutting glass and drawers full of different optical parts. It gets quite noisy with the sounds from the street filtering in, but we are used to the chaos of the market. We mostly spend our time checking orders and making sure the lenses fit the frames just right. It is a lot of sitting and focusing on small details. Sometimes we have tea delivered from the shop downstairs while we work. The space is a bit tight because we have so much stock, but we manage to find what we need. We don't have a big marketing team or anything like that. It’s just us doing the job every day from morning until evening. Most of our visitors are people who have been doing business with us for years. We just focus on the task at hand and try to get the work finished on time. The business is old fashioned but it works well enough for us and our customers.
