Getting up to our place at 18 B on the second floor of Sukeas Lane takes a little effort, especially if you are carrying a heavy desktop computer. We are right in the busy area near the Calcutta GPO, so the streets are always humming with people and noise. Arihant Infotech has been tucked away in this building for a long time. It’s not a fancy showroom with glass windows or bright lights. It is more of a workspace where tools are scattered across the desks and there is always a pot of tea sitting somewhere nearby. We handle a lot of different computer parts and repairs. People come to us when they can't figure out why their system is crashing or when they need an upgrade to keep their old PC running for another few years. We see students, office workers, and even some of the local vendors from the lane. The stairs are narrow, and the building is old, but it has character. We don't spend much on advertising; mostly people just find us by word of mouth or because they saw our sign downstairs. It’s a bit messy sometimes with all the wires and spare components, but we know our way around a motherboard. We just take things one day at a time, fixing what’s on the table and trying to stay ahead of the heat during the summer months in the city. It is honest work and it keeps us going.
