We share the area with a few other businesses, so it gets quite lively during the day. Our days are mostly spent on the phone or checking the crates in the warehouse area. It’s a straightforward business dealing with spirits. We don’t have a big marketing department or anyone to write fancy brochures for us. We just focus on the task at hand. There’s usually a bit of dust and the smell of old paper in the office, but it’s home for us during work hours. Sometimes the delivery guys are late and that throws everything off, but that is just part of the trade in Kolkata. We try to keep things organized but sometimes things get a bit messy when a big shipment comes in at once. We’ve been at this address for a bit now and we know most of the people on the street. It’s a practical way to make a living. We don't spend much time worrying about how we look to the outside world. As long as the stock is moving and the accounts are balanced, we are satisfied.
