Amtech Consortium

Our office is at 12, Chowringhee Square, right on the ground floor of the Andhra Insurance Building. If you’ve ever walked through this part of the city, you know how busy it gets with all the people and the old buildings. Amtech Consortium is based here, and it’s a bit of a tight squeeze with all the files and computers we have packed into the space. The building itself has a lot of history, though the walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint. We mostly deal with technical stuff and getting different groups to work together on projects. It involves a lot of sitting at desks and making calls. Sometimes the noise from the street outside is so loud we have to shut the windows, even when it’s hot. We aren't some high-flying agency. It’s just a small group of us trying to keep the paperwork straight and the work moving along. We often grab lunch from the vendors nearby since there isn't much space for a kitchen here. Being on the ground floor is handy for when we have to move stuff in or out. The floors are old stone and stay relatively cool, which is nice in the summer. We don’t put on any airs. We just show up every morning, deal with the emails, and try to make sure everything runs as smooth as it can in a place as busy as this.
