Amitava Enterprise

Our office is located at 3H, Gagan Sarkar Road, over in the Beleghata part of the city. If you know the KMC area, you know it can get pretty crowded and lively during the day. Amitava Enterprise is based in a fairly old building that has seen a lot of years. We have a small sign outside, but most people just know us by the address. Inside, it’s mostly just desks, stacks of paper, and a few fans to keep the air moving. Kolkata summers are no joke, so those fans are always running. We handle various enterprise tasks, mostly focusing on getting goods moved and orders filled. It is not the kind of place with a fancy reception. You just walk in and someone will be there to help you out. We spend a lot of time on the phone talking to suppliers and making sure things are on track. The street outside is usually full of rickshaws and people going about their business, which makes for a lot of background noise. We like being part of the local neighborhood though. Sometimes we get tea from the stall on the corner and talk to the other shop owners. It is a simple way of working, without any of that corporate talk you hear in the big towers. We just focus on the work in front of us and try to do a decent job every day. The brickwork on our building is a bit worn, but it’s home for us.
