You can find Alokon Eye Care at 161 and 162 Lake Town. We’ve been part of the Lake Town neighborhood for quite some time now. It’s a decent area and we have a lot of people from the nearby blocks stopping by. We focus on eyes, obviously, so there’s a lot of testing equipment and glasses lying around the place. The office is split between two units, which can be a little confusing if you’re coming in for the first time, but we usually point people in the right direction. It’s not a super polished clinic like you might see in a mall. We’ve got older chairs and the walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint, but it gets the job done. Our days are mostly spent helping people see a bit better and fixing up frames that have been stepped on or bent out of shape. We have a small staff and we’ve all been working together for a long time, so we know how each other works. Sometimes it gets a bit hectic when several people show up at once without calling ahead. We just tell them to take a seat and we’ll get to them when we can. It’s a very casual atmosphere here. We aren't into big speeches or fancy titles. We just do our work and go home at the end of the day. It is just a normal neighborhood clinic.
