Alco International

You can find Alco International at 82/B on Rafi Ahmed Kidwai Road. It’s a very busy street, and there’s always a lot of honking and people rushing by. Our place is in one of the older buildings along this stretch. It’s got high ceilings and those thick walls that keep it a bit cooler than the street outside, though it still gets stuffy. We handle a variety of international goods and trading matters. The space is mostly filled with filing cabinets, old desks, and piles of papers that seem to grow every week. We don't have a modern office layout with open spaces; it's more like a series of rooms connected by a narrow hallway. We’ve been here for years, and the furniture definitely shows it. There are stains on the carpet and the paint is peeling in a few spots near the windows. We don't mind it much because we’re too busy with the work to notice. Most of our day is spent on the telephone or typing out documents. We have a small area in the back where we can make some coffee or eat lunch. It’s a very basic way to run a business, but it works for us. We aren't trying to impress anyone with a fancy office; we just focus on getting the daily shipments and paperwork sorted out before we close up for the night.
