Our office is located at 4 Fairlie Place, up on the fifth floor. This is right in the heart of Kolkata’s main business area. There are a lot of old, grand buildings around here that have been around for a long time. Being on the fifth floor gives us a bit of a view of the surrounding rooftops, though we spend most of our time looking at our work. The lift in this building can be a bit temperamental, so sometimes we end up taking the stairs, which is a lot of climbing. The area is always buzzing with people from all the nearby offices and government buildings. We have a standard setup inside with desks, some chairs for visitors, and our computer equipment. It’s a busy environment and we try to keep up with everything. The noise from the street below usually fades out once you get up to our floor. We aren't doing anything fancy with the decor. It’s just a place to sit and solve the problems we need to work on. Most days are spent handling various technology tasks and making sure things are running correctly. We eat our lunch at our desks or go out to one of the small stalls nearby. It’s a very typical way of working in this part of the city. We have been here for a while and the routine of the neighborhood is very familiar to us now.
