Universal Digital Systems

Our office is tucked away in Bhupal Tower, right at the Ford Corner in Laxmipuri. If you know the area, you know it’s always crowded with cars and people moving toward the market. Being at No. 126 means we hear the honking and the street noise all through the day. Universal Digital Systems is just a couple of rooms filled with screens, cables, and parts scattered around. It’s not the neatest place you’ll ever see, but we know exactly where every screwdriver and power cord is located. Most of the time, we are hunched over a desk or trying to figure out why a particular piece of hardware isn’t behaving. It can be frustrating work, but we’ve been doing it long enough that we don’t get too worked up about it. The building itself is older, and the stairs can be a bit of a climb if the lift is acting up again. We usually have some tea around four o'clock, which is when the light starts to change in the office. It’s a small team here, so we end up talking about our families or what’s for dinner while we wait for files to copy or systems to reboot. We don't have fancy brochures; we just have our tools and the work that needs to be finished by the end of the week. Laxmipuri is a busy place to be, but it feels right for our kind of daily grind.
