Rukmini Architects

Rukmini Architects is based out of Plot 5, No 14 in Nalawade Colony. We are tucked away in the Pratibhanagar area of Kolhapur, which is a bit quieter than the main city center. Being near the Datta Temple is a big part of our daily experience here. You can often hear the rituals or just see people heading to the temple throughout the day. We are also quite close to Samrat Nagar, so it’s a residential neighborhood mostly. The office is really just a place for us to draw and plan. It’s usually filled with blueprints and rolls of tracing paper. There’s no big receptionist to greet you, so you might just find us hunched over a desk when you walk in. It’s a practical workspace, not a showroom. We’ve been in Nalawade Colony for some time and we like the pace of things here. It’s easier to focus on design when you aren’t right in the middle of a noisy market. Sometimes we have to head out to building sites across the city, so the office might be empty for a few hours. We don’t have a polished corporate look, just some old desks and a lot of passion for building things that stay standing. It’s a small operation and we prefer it that way. We just keep things moving and try to stay on top of our projects as they come in every day. The neighborhood feels like home to us.
