Mahendale Bandhu Kirana Stoars

Mahendale Bandhu Kirana Stoars is our family-run grocery shop. We are located on Gawonbhag Road in Sangli, zip code 416416. Our shop is also very close to Maruti Road, which is a major landmark for people around here. We sell all the basics—grains, spices, oils, and snacks. The shelves are packed high, and sometimes things are a bit hard to reach, but we have a ladder for that. The shop has that distinct smell of various spices mixed together. It’s a small space, so when more than three people are inside, it feels crowded. We've been in Sangli for a long time. My father ran this place before me, and not much has changed since then. We still use a manual scale for some things. The floor is made of old stone that has been worn smooth by years of customers walking on it. We know almost everyone who walks through the door. They don't just come for groceries; they come to chat for a minute about the weather or the local news. We don't have a website or a big marketing plan. We just open the shutters every morning and wait for the regulars to arrive. It’s a simple life on Gawonbhag Road. We take pride in just being here every day, making sure the jars are full and the floor is swept. It is a lot of work, but we enjoy it.
