King Court

King Court is over in the Tarabai Park area, tucked inside Shop Number 5 of the Krishna Celebrity Complex. If you know where the Irrigation Office is, we are located right across from that building. It is a decent area of Kolhapur, not as loud as the main markets but it still gets plenty of cars and people passing by throughout the day. The complex has a few other shops, so there is usually some life around the place even when we are quiet. Our spot is not huge, but it is enough for what we do here. We try to keep the windows clean because of all the dust that blows in from the road. Some days are slow and we just sit around talking until someone walks in, and other days we are running around non-stop trying to get things done. The furniture is pretty standard, nothing you would see in a fancy magazine, just functional and sturdy enough for daily use. We have got some plants near the entrance that I try to remember to water every morning before it gets too hot. The light in the afternoon hits the front of the shop in a nice way, even if it makes it a bit warm inside for a few hours. We do not have a big marketing team or anything like that; it is just us doing the work and making sure the doors stay open. Most people who come here live nearby.
