Desai''s Associates

Our office, Desai's Associates, is sitting at No. 1908 in B Ward over in Sambhaji Nagar. It’s a solid old building and we’ve been on this floor for several years now. Most of our day is spent at our desks handling paperwork and talking to people who walk in with questions. It’s a professional environment but we don't wear suits unless there’s a big meeting. We have big filing cabinets that are starting to get really full. Sambhaji Nagar is a busy part of town, so there is always noise from the street coming through the windows. We usually have the fans running high during the afternoon heat. It’s just a group of us working together here. We’ve known each other a long time so the atmosphere is pretty relaxed. We drink coffee from the stall down the road and try to get through the pile of documents on our desks. Sometimes the printer jams and we all have to take turns trying to fix it. That's just part of the daily routine. We don't have any flashy signs or big advertisements. People usually come to us because they know the Desai family or someone told them we were reliable. It's a modest place but we take the work seriously. Every day is pretty much the same, just steady work and making sure everything is filed correctly. We usually lock up around six in the evening and walk over to the bus stop together after finishing the last few emails and tidying up the desks for tomorrow.
