You can find us right on the Main Road in Kagal, which is quite easy since we are near the Post Office. Everyone knows the post office, so we just tell people to look for that. Being in a place like Kagal means we know a lot of the people who come in. It’s a bit different from a city hospital because you see your patients at the market or the bus stop later on. The hospital building is right on the edge of the road, so we see all the daily life of Kolhapur passing by. We have a small team here. It’s mostly just a few doctors and the nurses who live nearby. We handle the basic things people need, like minor injuries or fevers that won't go away. If it’s something really big, we sometimes have to send people into the bigger city, but we do what we can here first. The building is an older one, so the rooms are big but the paint is peeling in a couple of spots. We try to keep things simple and honest. There isn't any fancy lobby with coffee machines. Usually, people just sit on the wooden chairs and wait their turn. We open early in the morning because the farmers from around Kolhapur like to come in before it gets too hot. It’s just a steady life here, helping out where we can and keeping the clinic running near the post office.
