Crazy Ice Cream

Our unit is over at Plot No. 16 in the Vasantdada Industrial Estate. Being on Madhavnagar Road in Sangli puts us in a busy spot with lots of trucks and other businesses around. We’ve been operating from this warehouse space for a while now. It’s not a fancy parlor where you sit down; it’s more of where the real work happens. We spend our days mixing, freezing, and packing. It gets pretty loud with the industrial machines running, and you have to talk loudly to be heard. We supply a lot of the local shops and stalls in the Sangli area. Managing an ice cream business in an industrial estate is practical because it makes loading the delivery vans much easier. Sometimes the machinery acts up, and we have to spend half the night fixing a belt or a motor. It’s part of the job. We have a small office tucked in the corner where we handle the paperwork, but most of the time we’re out on the floor. The floors are concrete and always a bit cold underfoot. We don't use a lot of fancy words to describe what we do. We just make the ice cream and get it out the door before it melts. It’s a straightforward business, and we like it that way. We’ve got a good crew of guys who’ve been with us for years, and we just keep at it.
