We aren't hard to find if you’re from around here. Most of the time, the door is open and there's some dust from the road coming in. We spend our days talking to the local growers about what they’re planting this season. It’s a group of us who decided that working together was better than trying to do everything alone. The office is pretty simple, just some chairs and a desk where we keep all the paperwork. Sometimes it feels like there is more paperwork than farming, but that is just how it is. We try to keep track of everything, from the seeds to the final bags of produce. People come in and out all day. Sometimes we share some tea and just talk about the rain. It’s not a corporate setup. We wear our work clothes and usually have dirt on our boots because we’ve just come from the fields. It gets busy during the harvest months, and then everyone is tired. But we keep going because that’s what we do. Mulbagal is a quiet place most of the time, and we like it that way. We aren't trying to change the world, just trying to make sure the farmers here get a fair shake and have a place to gather and talk things through.
