We spend our days working right on the estate, dealing with the food products that come from this land. Our setup is right where the crops are grown. Most of the time, our boots are muddy and we are busy checking on the harvest or making sure the bags are packed right for transport. Living and working in Coorg means you get used to the damp weather and the steep hills. We started this because we wanted a way to handle our own food items directly from the estate without too many middle people. It’s a lot of manual work and we don’t always get things perfect on the first try, but we’re learning as we go. When you come visit Pollibetta, you see why we stay here. The air is different and the work feels real. We handle the paperwork in a small corner of the estate office, usually with a cup of local coffee nearby to keep us going. It’s just a few of us making sure the food gets where it needs to go without too much trouble.
