Our operation is based at No 148 in Arameri Village. It's near Virajpet in the Kodagu district. We go by Hasta Spices And Agricultural Producer Company Limited. Like many around here, our focus is on the spices that grow so well in this soil. Pepper and cardamom are big for us. The office is right in the village, which is helpful because we are close to the actual farms. It’s a very rural setting, and life moves at a different pace here than it does in the city. We aren't some big shiny corporation with a lot of money to spend on fancy ads. We are just local people who know about spices. Sometimes the roads are a bit rough, especially after the monsoon, but we manage. People stop by all the time to talk about their harvests or to ask for advice on their plants. It’s a very hands-on kind of business. We spend a lot of time outside, not just sitting behind desks. There’s always something to be dried, sorted, or packed. We try to keep things simple and honest. The name "Hasta" means hand, and that’s really how we work—doing things by hand and staying involved in every step. It’s a tough life sometimes, but it’s what we know. We are proud to be part of the Arameri community and to help the farmers here get their spices out to the world. It takes a lot of patience to grow good spices, and we have plenty of that.
