B Tech In Bioinformatics is based out at Dhevdhan Estate in Maldare. To find us, you have to go via Siddapur in Kodagu. It’s a very different vibe from the big cities like Mumbai or Delhi. Out here in 571253, it’s mostly green and quiet, which is actually pretty good for the kind of work we do. The office is part of the estate, so you might hear birds or the sound of the wind instead of traffic. It’s a bit of a drive to get here, but once you are on the property, it’s peaceful. We don't have a big team or a fancy building. It is a practical space where we handle the data and the science stuff related to bioinformatics. Sometimes the internet is a bit slow because of the location, but we manage. The room we work in has a few computers and some books on biology and coding. It’s not very large, and it definitely feels more like a home office than a corporate headquarters. We usually start the day early when the air is still cool. There is a lot of walking involved if you want to get anywhere else on the estate. It’s a simple life out here in India, focusing on the technical bits without all the distractions of a busy street. Most of our days are just spent looking at screens and trying to make sense of the information.
