Whitefield Alloys

Up here in Makacheri Chambers, things stay pretty busy throughout the week. Whitefield Alloys has been operating out of this spot on Makacheri Road for a good bit of time. It isn't a huge place, just a decent-sized setup where we handle all our alloy work and storage. You have to climb the stairs to get to us, which keeps us fit I guess, though it’s a pain when we are carrying heavy bags. The air always smells a bit like metal and oil, but you get used to that after the first week. We deal with all sorts of people coming in looking for specific parts or just asking if we can fix something that broke. I try to keep the desk tidy, but with all the samples and the paperwork flying around, it usually looks like a mess by noon. My assistant knows where everything is even if I don't. We aren't trying to be the biggest shop in town. We just want to make sure the stuff we send out is decent and that people don't have to come back because something was wrong with their order. Lunch is usually brought from home and eaten right there at the workbench. It is a simple life, honestly. The street outside is always noisy with cars and people selling things, but once you step inside the chambers, it feels like our own little world. We just keep our heads down and do what we know how to do best.
