Media One Channel

Our office is on the ground floor of Akariya Arcade. We are situated in Iyapan Kave, right on Chittoor Road near the North Kochi Post. It is a very busy spot in Kochi. Being on the ground floor means we see everyone walking past the windows. Media One Channel has been here for a while, and the arcade is always full of people going to different shops and offices. It gets pretty loud inside when everyone is talking at once, especially when we are trying to coordinate a broadcast. We have a lot of gear squeezed into the space—cameras, lights, and computers are everywhere. Sometimes you have to step over a tripod just to get to the back room where we keep the water cooler. We don't have a big corporate office feel; it’s more like a workshop where we are always trying to fix something or get a story ready on time. The traffic on Chittoor Road can be a nightmare in the evenings, so we often end up staying late just to let the roads clear up. It’s a fast-paced environment, but we enjoy the chaos of it. Most of the people working here have been friends for years, so it feels more like a small community than a regular job. We just show up, do our thing, and try to make sure the channel keeps running for everyone watching. There isn't much more to it than that, just hard work and a lot of coffee.
