Shiju Motor Driving School

Shiju Motor Driving School is right at number 12, very close to the Hanuman Temple in Kochi. If you know the temple, you can't miss us. We have been teaching people how to drive in these Cochin streets for a long time. The traffic here in Kerala is no joke, so we have to be patient. Our office is just a small room where we keep the files and wait for students to show up. It has a bit of a smell of old paper and car oil. We have a couple of older cars that we use for the lessons. They aren't new but they are easy to learn on. My instructors are local guys who know every shortcut and pothole in the neighborhood. We don't have a website or anything like that. People mostly find us by walking past or hearing from a neighbor. Sometimes we sit outside on the plastic chairs when it is not raining. Learning to drive is a big deal for people here, so we take it seriously but we don't act like it is a big corporate school. It is just Shiju and the rest of us. We help with the paperwork for the licenses too, which is always a bit of a slow process with the offices. If you want to learn, you just come by the Hanuman Temple and look for our sign. We will get you started whenever there is an open slot.
