Driving in Ernakulam is not the easiest thing in the world, which is why we are here at Pathadipalam. Specifically, we are in the Chengampuzha area. We have a couple of cars that we use for the lessons. Most of the time, we are out on the road with someone who is very nervous behind the wheel. You can usually see our cars with the big 'L' stickers moving slowly through the streets. We spend a lot of time explaining how the clutch works and why you shouldn't panic when a bus goes by too close. The office is just a small place where we handle the paperwork for the licenses. We help with the forms and the booking of the tests. It can be a bit of a headache with the rules changing, but we keep up with it. Our instructors have a lot of patience because they have to. We see all kinds of people, from young kids to older folks who finally decided to learn. The Ernakulam traffic is a good teacher, even if it is stressful. We make sure the cars are running okay, checking the oil and the tires regularly. It is a basic thing we do for the community here. We are glad when someone passes their test on the first try. It makes the long hours in the passenger seat worth it. We just keep doing our thing every day and helping people get out on the road.
