Satyanarayan Ramesh Kumar & Co. is situated at Plot No-22-2-19 in the Cloth Bazar area. As the name suggests, we are surrounded by textiles and fabric shops of all kinds. Our location is always bustling with activity, especially when new shipments of cloth arrive and have to be unloaded in the narrow streets. We deal with various types of fabrics, and our shop is usually filled with rolls of cloth stacked from floor to ceiling. It can be a bit hard to navigate the aisles when we are busy, but we make it work. We’ve been here for quite some time, so we know most of the other shopkeepers and the regular buyers who haunt the bazar. We don’t have a fancy showroom with bright lights and mannequins. Instead, we have a functional space where we show samples and cut fabric for orders. It’s a hands-on business where you have to know the feel of the material. We spend a lot of time on our feet, moving bolts of fabric and helping customers find exactly what they are looking for. The pace is fast, and it can get quite hot in the afternoons when the market is at its busiest. We aren't big on marketing or social media; we just rely on the fact that people know where we are and what we carry. It’s a traditional way of working that suits us just fine, day in and day out.
