We’ve been tucked away in this ground floor spot at Act Chambers for a while now. It’s right beneath the Palarivattom post office, so it’s easy to find if you know the area. Most days, it’s just us and the sound of the stamping machines going. We handle a lot of rubber stamps for the offices around here. It isn't a massive operation or anything like that. Just a few of us working at the back where the ink gets on everything. Sometimes the delivery guys come in and out, or a local shop owner needs a quick seal made before lunch. The room is number four, so you just walk straight in. We keep a small stool for people to sit while they wait. It gets a bit warm in the afternoons, especially when the sun hits the front, but we have the fan going. We don’t really do much fancy stuff, just the standard stamps people need for their paperwork. Usually, we are here by nine. On rainy days, the water pools a bit near the entrance, so we have to watch out for that. We've known the post office guys upstairs for years. People come in with sketches of what they want their stamp to look like, and we just try to get it right for them. It’s practical work. Nothing more, nothing less. We just keep doing what we do every day without much fuss and bother.
