Down on Gujarati Road in Mattanchery, you’ll find our place, Mawjee Kanji & Co. We are located at Cc - Vii/2351. It’s an old part of town with a lot of history and we’ve been part of it for some time. The building isn't brand new, but it works for what we need. We spend our days dealing with the paperwork and the stock that comes through. Mattanchery is always loud and full of movement, and our spot is right in the middle of that energy. Sometimes the rain makes things slow down, but usually, it's just a steady flow of work. We aren't trying to be the biggest outfit around. We just want to make sure the things we send out are handled right. There are a few of us working here, mostly just local people who have been around the trade for years. You won't find any glossy brochures or big signs here. We prefer just getting the job done without too much fuss. Sometimes we have a tea and talk about the day's tasks before getting back to the crates. It's a simple setup. If you walk down Gujarati Road, you'll see us eventually. We’ve seen the neighborhood change quite a bit over the years, but we’re still here doing the same work. It’s honest work and it keeps us occupied from morning until the sun goes down.
