Malabar Apparels is situated on the 4th floor of the G. C. D. A. Commercial Complex right on Marine Drive. It’s a busy building with a lot of different offices, so there’s always people waiting for the elevator. Being on the 4th floor gives us a bit of a view, though we are usually too busy with the clothes to look out the window. The complex at 56 Marine Drive is a well-known spot, which makes it easy for people to find us. We’ve been running Malabar Apparels from this unit for a good while. The rooms are filled with samples and racks of clothes. It’s not a polished showroom; it’s more of a workspace where we figure things out. Sometimes the air conditioning in the complex acts up, and it gets a bit warm, but we just keep going. We don’t have any big corporate mission or anything like that. We just want to finish the day’s work and head home. The team here is small, and we all pitch in with whatever needs doing, from folding to packing. Marine Drive is a nice area, but inside the G. C. D. A. Commercial Complex, it’s all about business. We just keep things moving and try to stay on top of the orders. It’s a regular job in a regular office, and that’s fine by us. Sometimes we go for a walk by the water after we close up just to clear our heads.
