Madhava Pharmaceutical Laboratories

Our place, Madhava Pharmaceutical Laboratories, is based in Ernakulam. We use P. O. Box 2005 for our mail since it keeps things a bit more organized for us. Ernakulam is always busy, which is a change from how things used to be years ago. There’s a lot of noise from the street sometimes, but you get used to it after working here for a while. We spend a lot of time in the lab and the storage rooms. It’s not the kind of work that looks exciting from the outside, but it keeps us busy from Monday to Saturday. We don't have a lot of fancy furniture or a big reception area. Most of the space is taken up by the equipment and boxes. Sometimes the heat in the city gets to be a bit much, but we have some fans that keep the air moving. We aren't really into marketing ourselves with big slogans. We just focus on making sure the orders are accurate and getting them out when we said we would. It’s a lot of checking labels and making sure the counts are right. People who work here have been around for a long time, so we all know how the others like their coffee. It feels more like a small family than a big company. We just do our bit here in Ernakulam and try to stay on top of the work. It’s a simple existence, but it’s ours.
