Biocon Organics Pvt. Ltd. is located in the Ida Edayar area of Binanipuram. It’s an industrial zone, so there are lots of factories and warehouses all around us. The air usually has that smell of industry, and there’s a constant sound of machines or trucks in the distance. Our place is a practical building designed for what we do. We don't have a lot of extra space, but we make the most of what we have. Inside, it’s all about the work. We handle organic materials and that requires a lot of attention. Most of us wear sturdy boots and clothes that we don't mind getting a bit dirty. It’s the kind of environment where you focus on the task in front of you. Binanipuram isn't a place for sightseeing, but for us, it’s home. We have a small break room where we eat our tiffin and talk about the weekend. There isn’t much corporate talk here; we just say what needs to be said and get on with it. The gates stay open during the day for deliveries and close up tight at night. We’ve been part of this industrial community for a while now. We know the other folks on the street and we help each other out if someone needs a hand with a tool or a bit of advice. It’s a hard-working place, and that’s how we like it. No frills, just honest labor from morning until the sun goes down.
