About Durow Stamps 'N' Prints – Safety & Security in Kochi
You can find our little shop at 16/1234 in the Mariam Complex. It is a busy part of Thoppumpady, and there is always something going on in the hallways of the complex. We mostly spend our time making rubber stamps and doing various printing jobs for people who live nearby. Making a stamp is a bit of a process, getting the polymer right and then washing it off so the letters are sharp. It gets a bit inky sometimes, and my hands usually have some black stains on them by the end of the shift. We have a few old machines that still work better than the new ones we tried a few years back. The space is not very big, so we have to be careful about where we stack the paper. People come in for all sorts of things, maybe a bill book or some letterheads. We do not really have a big staff, just a couple of us who know how the printers act up when it gets humid. Thoppumpady is a good place to be, even if parking near the Mariam Complex can be a total headache for everyone. We usually have the radio playing in the background while we work on the stamp mounts. It is steady work and it keeps us busy from morning until we close up in the evening. There is always a stack of orders waiting on the desk and something needs fixing.
