Cochin Film Academy

We started this place a while back in Kakkanad. It's right near the Ngo Qtrs in Palachuvadu. People usually find us when they are looking to get into the film world. It isn't a fancy office with glass walls or anything like that. Just a regular building where we get things done. Mostly, we spend our days talking about scripts and how to edit scenes properly. Some days it gets pretty busy and loud when students are practicing with the cameras. We've got a decent amount of gear and some rooms set aside for editing and acting practice. Most of us working here have been around the film industry for quite a bit. We don't really bother with big advertisements or social media stuff. It is mostly word of mouth that brings people in. Kakkanad is a good spot for this because it's growing so fast, though the traffic near Palachuvadu can be a bit of a headache sometimes. We've seen a lot of different students pass through these doors. Some are now working on actual movie sets, which is nice to hear. It’s hard work, there is no doubt about it. You can't just learn this stuff from watching videos online. You have to actually touch the equipment and make mistakes. That's why we spend so much time in the studio rooms.
