Alpha Entrance Academy

If you find yourself on Chilla Court Road in Alappuzha, you will see our building, which is called Rose. That is where Alpha Entrance Academy is based. It is mostly full of students who spend their time staring at thick books and trying to figure out complicated problems. It gets a bit intense in there, especially when there is a big entrance exam coming up in a few weeks. You see a lot of empty coffee cups and crumpled-up pieces of paper in the bins around the hallways. We are not a place for playing around; it is mostly about sitting down and getting the work done. The rooms are plain, just chairs and desks and enough light to read by for hours on end. Sometimes the students stay quite late, and you can see the lights on from the street while the rest of Alappuzha is starting to quiet down for the night. We have teachers who know their stuff, but they are regular people who just want to help these kids get where they are going. There is no big secret to how we do things, just a lot of practice and repeating things until they finally stick. It is a bit of a grind, to be honest. But the students seem to know what they are here for and they put in the effort. We just provide the space and the materials they need to keep at it day after day.
