Vineesha Tobacco Private Limited is situated at Plot No.133/D, Sector-A, Zone-D in the Mancheswar Industrial Estate. Being in an industrial estate in Bhubaneswar means it’s always loud and dusty. There are trucks constantly moving in and out of the zone. Our spot is a practical warehouse and office mix. We deal with tobacco, so there’s a very specific smell that hits you as soon as you get near the gate. It’s not for everyone, but we’ve been in this trade for a long time. The building is basically a large shed with some office rooms partitioned off. It gets incredibly hot in the afternoons under the metal roof. We just drink a lot of water and keep the work moving. We don't have any flashy signs or anything like that. People in the trade know we are here. Most of our day is spent checking the moisture in the leaves or talking to the leaf graders. It’s a lot of physical checking and re-checking. We have to be careful with the storage because tobacco is sensitive. It’s a tough business and the hours are long, especially when we have a big shipment going out. We’ve been in Mancheswar for years and we’ve seen the estate change, but our daily routine stays pretty much the same. It’s just hard work and a lot of sweat in the industrial zone, but that is how we like to run things.
