We’ve been here on Clark Road for quite some time now. You’ll find us tucked into Laxman Mishra Lane, which is usually a bit quieter than the main road nearby. Most people in Puri know this part of town pretty well. It’s a simple setup we have here. We spend our days mostly working through lessons and talking to students who drop by after their school finishes. The salt air from the sea sometimes reaches us when the wind is right, but mostly it's just the usual town sounds. People often miss the turn into the lane if they aren’t looking for it. It isn't a fancy place with big signs or flashing lights. We just have our rooms set up for teaching. Sometimes the power goes out in the afternoons and we just open the windows and keep going. It’s just how things are here in this corner of Puri. We know the neighbors and the shopkeepers around the corner. If you walk down from the main junction, it takes about five minutes. We started Lyceum because there was space here and kids needed a place to study that wasn't too far from home. There’s a wooden desk at the front and rows of benches inside for the classes. It gets a bit dusty with the traffic nearby but we try to keep it clean enough. Nothing much else to say really. We’re just here every day doing the work.
